Ingredients of Ayush Kadha Recipe:

  • Water
  • Ginger
  • Elaichi
  • Cardamom
  • Bay Leaf

How to make Ayush Kadha Recipe

Step 1: Take 2 cups of Water

Take a pot and put 2 cups (0.47 l) of water and bring it to boil on flame. It is recommended to use standard sized cups for taking the water. Also, keep the pot on a medium flame for better results.

Step 2: Add Ginger

Now you need to add ginger, which has all types of antioxidants that benefit from the prevention of stress. It also helps with high blood pressure, heart disease, and lung diseases. Add 1 Inch Grated Ginger.

Step 3: Add Elaichi

Elaichi is known for having antioxidant and diuretic properties. So it is an important ingredient in Ayush Kadha. Take 4 elaichi, open them, and then add to the pot.

Step 4: Add Cardamom

Similar to the previous steps, you need to add cardamom in 4 to 5 quantities. Put these in the pot after opening them.

Step 5: Add Bay Leaf

Bay leaf has good values of vitamin A, vitamin B6, and vitamin C, which are essential for keeping the immune system healthy. Since it also eases upset stomach, ensure to add 1 bay leaf to the kadha.

Step 6: Add Cinnamon

Cinnamon is known to have a rich content of iron and calcium. When used with ginger, it helps with digestion and immunity. So, add 4 to 5 cinnamon in the pot.

Step 7: Add Tulsi

Tulsi is known for its several benefits like reducing cold, cough, fever, stress, blood pressure; apart from being good for immunity and heart. Add 8-10 tulsi leaves to the mix.

Step 8: Boil it

The first set of ingredients of Ayush kadha is complete, and the mix is present in the pot. Now, it’s time to boil the mix. Ensure to boil it for 5 minutes.

Step 9: Add Jaggery

Now it’s time to move to the 2nd set of ingredients of kadha, recommended by the Ministry of Ayush. Add a few bits of jaggery.
