Importance of Shiv Ji Aarti in Hinduism

Lord Shiva is the most powerful and supreme God in the Hindu religion. Every Monday, people worship the Lord and chant his mantras, followed by Shiv Aarti. On the eve of Maha Shivratri, Shiv Aarti is chanted by all the Hindus, in temples as well as in their homes. “Om Jai Shiv Omkara” is the title of Shiv Aarti. Anyone, who recites the aarti of the greatest lord Shiva, with full devotion, is helped with getting rid of his mortal life issues which lead to the fulfillment of his/her desires. In the Shiv aarti, Lord Shiva is said to play the roles of the main 3 Gods – Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh (another name of God Shiva).

Lord Shiva History

When the four sons of Lord Brahma disobeyed their father, then he got angry and in his wrath, he created a child from between his eyebrows in the hues of blue and red. This child kept on crying anxiously and angrily that prompted Lord Brahma to name him RUDRA. He also bestowed 11 names to the child, wherein Shiva, Manu, and Mahan are three names.
