Are you panicking with even iota of examination thought? Do the sight of an answer sheet make you go bonkers? Does the date sheet gives you nightmares? And last but not the least, every single day seems like running out of hand and soon doors will open into a world of misery?

Step 1: Have a clean, peaceful space to study.

A calm environment is essential for better concentration. Noisy and disturbing surroundings does not allow to focus easily on any activity.

Step 2: Know your concentration span, Study with breaks.

For every person span of attention varies. It’s ideal to take a break of 5 minutes after every 40 minutes of learning.

Step 3: Teachers never say NO .

Teachers are the best resource persons on this earth. Do not hesitate, put forth your doubts, confusion, and problems in academics across your teachers, they will surely have a way out.

Step 4: Create a 'visual organizers'

Web charts, flow charts, or organizers are pictorial aids which help to retain information easily and create intense impact.

Step 5: Set short term goals.

Short term goals are easy to attain and create a path for long term target. Make a clear plan of what you want to cover in each study period

Step 6: Ask your parents for help.

Parents are social support that showers unconditional love and warmth. Cave in whenever required, they are always with us.

Step 7: Summarize your learning by practising oral/written presentation.

Some students resort to written practices, others resort to oral presentation to recapitulate. Your technique to learn can be different from others, do not compare.

Step 8: Read prescribed book thoroughly and mark/highlight key words.

Step 10: Practice previous years question paper and sample papers.

Its a key to conquer any exam, practice as much as you can. This will surely boost your confidence in the respective subject.

Step 11: Time Management

Plan your time for all the subjects, preparation of a schedule/time table is important

Step 12: Do Not compromise on food and sleep.

Energy and a relax mind are required for healthy examination preparation. Seven hours of sleep is required for all humans.

Step 13: Do Not indulge beyond 1 cup of coffee.

Caffeine acts lie a stimulant. It increases mental alertness but regular intake of caffeine can cause anxiety, headaches to an extent it can lead to the development of addiction.

Step 14: Give yourself music or exercise break (30 minutes)

Indulging in a brisk walk, listening to soothing music does have a calming effect on the mind. It automatically reboots our processing system.

Step 15: Average achievers should work in their comfortable zone.

Preparation must be done in your comfort zone. Try to achieve the set target and then look beyond.
