How to Do Shardiya Navratri Puja at Home: Learn 7 Easy steps to do Navratri Pooja at home
Step 1: To place the deity (Ghata Sthapana)
The deity is placed in the northern side of the house with a pot next to the yantra, and the idol should not be more than 10ft.
Step 2: Establish the Kalash
Wash the pot, clean and decorate with some turmeric powder, Kumkum dots, mango leaves and fill it with dry fruits, coins, and Ganga Jal.
Step 3: Worship of Goddess Durga
To invite and establish her ritualistically, the first step to worship the goddess is an invocation, which helps the waves of Shaktitattva to be positive and active.
Step 4: Chowki Sthpana
Spread the roli on the chowki and tie moli across and around Goddess Durga idol. Then place the idol of Goddess Durga right on the chowki.
Step 5: Navratri Puja
On this puja, keep the Kalash filled with water or Ganga water and some mango leaves around it. Then, place some coconut in it, wrap it with tie moli and red cloth, and begin your chants.
Step 6: Maa Durga Aarti
Maa Durga Aarti is a chant which is performed in many songs with different meanings to them.
Step 7: Inviting and Feeding Goddesses
On the last day or 9th day of Navratri, invite nine girls aged around 5 to 12, and prepare the food for them. They are called to be Goddesses, and the ritual process is called Kanya puja.
The Goddess, Durga, is known to come in nine forms. Each of these days is dedicated to worshipping these forms. This puja is the most religious and spiritual way to get connected with the Goddess, the embodiment of all compassion, wisdom, power and glory in all forms.
