Ingredients of Aloo Samosa:
- All-purpose flour
- Onion
- Spices
- Peas
- Potatoes
- salt as required
How to make Aloo Samosa
Step 1: Flour/Maida
Add flour/maida, salt, carom seeds, ajwain and ghee to a large size bowl
Step 2: Add Ingredients
Mix all the ingredients and add a few drops of water and knead it till it turns to a hard dough
Step 3: Dough
Cover the dough and set it aside for 25- 30 mins and knead it for 2-3 mins
Step 4: Oil
Oil the rolling board
Step 5: Dough Roll
Roll the dough, and keep it slightly thick but not too thin
Step 6: Stuffing
Cut it into 4 part, roll the pin on each of them before the stuffing
Step 7: Water
Apply tiny drops of water on the edge with fingertips
Step 8: Cone Shape
Make a cone shape, stick the edges together
Step 9: Water on Edge
Apply some water to the edge
Step 10: Filling Potato
Place the potato filling, seal the bottom of the dough
Step 11: Preheat Oven
To bake, brush them gently with oil and preheat oven at 180 C for 20 mins and bake them for 30-40 mins
Step 12: Samosa
To deep-fry, heat the pan with oil and gently add the samosa into the pan

- Boil potatoes and set them aside when ready
Now, start with the dough
- Add flour/maida, salt, carom seeds, ajwain and ghee to a large size bowl
- Mix all the ingredients
- Rub the flour well and it should resemble the breadcrumbs
- Add a few drops of water and knead it till it turns to a hard dough
- Cover the dough and set it aside for 25- 30 mins
Making potato stuffing
- Heat oil in the pan
- Add jeera/cumin to the pan and allow it to crackle
- Add ginger, onion, chilli, spices and sauté it till an aroma comes out
- Add other ingredients if you like too like cashew, hing etc
- Add the potatoes, sprinkle salt, sauté for 2-3 minutes
- Set aside to cool, then add some lemon juice or chaat masala to it
